Theme Hospital on Windows 8

A couple of weeks ago EA released Bullfrog’s Theme Hospital for free on Origin. This was awesome news, even though I had already picked it up on GOG.com. Theme Hospital was a childhood favourite. I never got into the “modern” release of the game because it was the DOSBox version and seemed to be locked to a poor resolution and old sound effects. I remembered the Windows port I owned had higher quality music. MORE

Dragon Age Inquisition is a breath of fresh air

Lets face it, 2014 hasn’t been a great year for AAA games. Watch Dogs was a bit of a let down (though I still enjoyed it), Destiny was a big disappointment in the story department and gameplay variation, Assassin’s Creed Unity has been plagued with bugs, and The Master Chief Collection is a complete mess. Seriously, I share no common ground with 343i sympathisers. The MCC should have never released in the state it is in, both the single player and multiplayer are broken and the studio has a lot to answer for. MORE

How to reference with Bi­bla­tex and TeXworks

I am now at the University of York, studying for a MSc in Advanced Computer Science. It has been interesting to see how different universities do different things. An example of this is report writing. Before York I had never heard of LaTeX (pronounced lay-tech). MORE

PascalDE available to download!

I’ve finally gotten around to making sure PascalDE is ready to download. For those who don’t know, PascalDE is my final year project software from the University of Hull.
